The University of Cincinnati’s DeShones Kizer is a rising star in college football, but there are still a number of schools in the nation that have been tracking his recruitment and interest.
According to 247Sports, five teams are actively recruiting the former Pitt Panther quarterback: Miami, Florida, Michigan State, Oklahoma State and USC.
Kizer would be an ideal fit at Florida, which has already been recruiting Kizer this offseason and is expected to make a late-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
While Miami is a long shot, the Gators have been aggressively courting him in recent years.
Kiser has already completed his master’s degree in journalism and is working on a book about his experience as a quarterback in the country’s biggest university.
The Hurricanes also have an intriguing secondary in their 2017 class with two highly-ranked cornerbacks in Marshon Lattimore and Marshon Moore, and three wide receivers in Deon Cain and Jarrad Davis.
Florida has also made an effort to keep tabs on Kizer’s commitment this offseason, according to 247sports, signing him to a two-year deal last March.
Florida also recently hosted the official visit of the Buckeyes’ quarterback in Champaign.
