According to an email sent by Mark Turgeon to recruits, the new head of the program wants to see them come out to practice, participate in the team’s offseason workouts and get involved in team-building activities with teammates.
Maryland has been recruiting for the past two seasons under Mark Turpen, but it was a different time for Maryland.
Marylands head coach Mark Turlock said in a statement that recruiting is something that he’s always wanted to do but he never had the resources or resources to pursue it.
Turlock was the defensive coordinator at Western Michigan before becoming Maryland’s head coach.
Marylanders recruiting coordinator Brian Wysopal is also a former head coach at Western.
He has been in charge of recruiting since 2011, and was a key recruiter for the program at the time.
Marysons newest recruiting coach, Kevin O’Connell, also had a successful stint with the school as head coach in 2014 and 2015.
Marymont, the team that finished 9-3 last season, is expected to be ranked in the top 10 in the nation in 2019.
