NEW YORK — — A recruiter for the UGA football recruiting website is blaming the lack of recruits in its database for its failures to find recruits.UGA football recruits have posted a petition on Change.org urging the school to recruit more people from the state of Michigan.
The petition, which has more than 8,600 signatures, was created Tuesday by the website’s marketing director, Scott Mazzone.
The site, which was launched in 2011, has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors since it launched.
The petition asks UGA to recruit as many recruits from Michigan as possible, noting that UGA has been the only school in the state with more than 1,000 recruits since 2012.
The state of Georgia has 1,076, and Florida has 615.
The UGA recruiting site, UGA Recruiter, says it has a database that is used by approximately 300 recruiting companies nationwide, but has yet to recruit a single recruit from Michigan.
Uga Recruitor says it doesn’t rely on Google or Bing for its recruiting results.
