Zoho announced today that it has hired six more staff members as it continues to expand recruitment efforts for the Naval Recruiting Office.
In a statement, the company said that it had signed two additional contract extensions and that it was hiring additional personnel to support its ongoing recruitment efforts.
In the past, Zoho had focused on recruiting the U.S. Coast Guard and Navy, but in 2018, the firm started expanding its military recruitment efforts to include the Army, Air Force and Marine Corps.
The company has a presence in the United States military and is in the process of expanding its operations to include all branches of the armed forces, the statement said.
“We have added nearly a thousand more employees since joining the military recruiting industry in 2017, and we will continue to grow our workforce in the future,” the company added.
“Our recruiting efforts are helping to prepare the next generation of Navy Sailors for the future.”
The firm’s expanded efforts come as the military grapples with an increase in suicides and the threat of climate change.
The Navy has experienced an increase of more than 2,700 suicides since 2017, according to a report by the Pentagon.
Last month, the Navy revealed that more than 1,600 sailors have taken their own lives.
