Caught in a battle for the number one overall recruit in Georgia, Jake Fromm has put his team on the defensive.
The 5-foot-9 quarterback has been recruited by a number of programs, but from his hometown of Richmond, he has the most success in the state of Georgia.
Fromm received a commitment from Georgia on Sunday night, becoming the first Bulldogs quarterback in school history to commit to the Bulldogs.
The 6-foot, 215-pounder is rated the No. 9 prospect nationally by 247Sports and the No 4 overall player in Georgia.
Fromm has shown the potential to be a solid starting quarterback for Georgia, but the Bulldogs are looking to build around the quarterback.
The Bulldogs are in need of a QB, so it’s not surprising to see him in a fight for the No 2 overall prospect in Georgia at No. 24.
If Fromm is selected in the NFL draft, he could end up as a potential star for the Bulldogs, but he will need to make the jump to the NFL to get the job done.
The 2018 NFL draft is in full swing, and the 2018 draft class is loaded with top prospects.
If the Bulldogs were to go the NFL route and land the best player available, it would certainly be interesting to see who he might land with the No 1 overall pick.
